Finance Manager
(part-time – one day per week)

Location: Greenwich, SE10 (office-based with flexible remote working)
Salary: £10,000 per annum

ABOUT US
The Deborah Ubee Trust is a local mental health charity dedicated to supporting individuals and communities to improve wellbeing, build resilience, and access vital support services. We exist so that every adult and child from the age of 4 years and up in our boroughs can access the mental health support they need, regardless of their income or circumstances. We believe everyone deserves to be supported towards good mental health and wellbeing. Our vision is of a community where those most often excluded from support are provided with understanding and care before reaching crisis point, helping to address local health inequalities.

THE ROLE
We are looking for an experienced Finance Manager to join us and play a key role in ensuring the financial sustainability and transparency of our organisation. This is an opportunity for a finance professional who is passionate about making a difference within the charity sector. Working closely with our Senior Management Team, you will provide high-quality financial oversight, insight, and reporting to support effective decision-making and long-term planning.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Produce clear and detailed financial and management reports, highlighting current performance and future risks

  • Support the Senior Leadership Team with financial insights to guide strategic decisions

  • Monitor budgets and cash flow, ensuring the charity operates efficiently and sustainably

  • Work with external accountants to ensure compliance and accurate year-end reporting

  • Maintain robust financial systems, records, and controls

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Qualified or part-qualified in AAT, CIMA, or equivalent

  • Strong experience preparing financial and management reports

  • Proven experience working with Senior Leadership Teams and external accountants

  • Excellent IT skills, including MS Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, and online systems

  • Advanced knowledge of computerised accounting systems and spreadsheets

  • Experience using Xero is desirable but not essential

  • Essential: Previous experience within a charity finance environment‍
